Prodigy Early Learning Centre offers a fully approved and funded Kindergarten Program for 3 and 4-year-olds. A Bachelor-qualified Early Childhood Teacher leads our Kindergarten Program, which is integrated into the extended long day-care.
As part of the Kindergarten Program, children learn essential life skills, such as social and emotional skills and creative thinking. They are also exposed to early literacy, numeracy, science, language, and discovery through meaningful learning experiences. Each of these programs is unique and is driven by the Prodigy Philosophy, guided by your child’s interests and the distinctive teaching style of their teachers.
What are the Benefits of Attending Kindergarten?
- The kindergarten years are the formative years of any child’s life, preparing them for the formal schooling years that await them.
- The learning through-play methodology, which comes at the core of kindergarten, is proven to help the children develop their curiosity, creativity, and social skills and promote their overall growth, development, and well-being.
- During kindergarten years, children receive the undivided attention of their educators. The kind of care and attention they receive contributes to developing specific skills that last a lifetime.
- Research has shown how the children who attended kindergarten stand ahead of their peers in different areas. For instance, 3-year-old children who attended kindergarten were around 20 weeks ahead of those who skipped it.
- The skills that they learn in a dynamic kindergarten environment are not something that they can find within the comfort of their home.
- A kindergarten’s play-based learning environment encourages children to explore and triggers their creative potential. Their everyday interaction with teachers and their peers helps them develop their perspective, improve their social skills and boost their confidence.
4-year-Old Kindergarten
With our 4-year-old kindergarten program, we take the learning experience of our kindergartners a step further and target some specific skills that are imperative for schooling years. Our curriculum acts as a catalyst that helps the kindergartners develop lifelong skills and the confidence they need to excel in each aspect of their lives.
At this stage, we work closely with the children and their families to help them reach their full potential and make way for a transformative and growth-triggering learning journey. Our 4-year-old kindergarten program is delivered in a safe and stimulating environment by experienced teachers specializing in early learning methodologies.
The curriculum we follow is tested and proven to be a great learning experience for the enrolled children.
Our Approach to Early Learning: Targeted Areas
- We target children’s social and emotional intelligence via several resilience-building and self-regulation activities.
- We encourage children to understand their feelings better and express themselves. We will teach them how to deal with negative emotions practically and develop a positive outlook toward everyday challenges.
- We will adopt the learning-through-play methodology and help children develop real-life skills through several fun-based activities.
- Conduct imaginary play through activities like acting out stories and rhymes, dress-ups, role play, etc., and help develop basic interactive, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Engaging the children in basic chores like arranging their meals and organizing their books, brings in a sense of independence.
- Encourage children to resolve minor issues independently under their educator’s guidance and make them participate in make-play problem-solving activities. This will help develop their problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Verse the students in various aspects of communication, including words, hand gestures, eye contact, facial expressions, etc.
- Develop literacy skills by targeting key spheres, including speaking, listening, and reading.
- We will try to instill values of kindness, respect, empathy, etc., in children via their regular interactions with the people around them.
- Conduct practice sessions to reiterate the skills that they have learned in the classroom so they can master those skills.

So, with our School Readiness Program, we ensure they are not overwhelmed by this transition and can cope with the upcoming changes. It involves a practice-based curriculum that targets critical skills that act as a solid learning foundation for your children.
The program is meant to help the enrolling students develop their basic skills, adopt healthy eating habits, and familiarise themselves with the routine that awaits them at their school.
